Bishop John Stowe, OFM Conv

Bishop John Stowe, OFM Conv., was ordained as the third Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lexington on May 5, 2015, succeeding Bishop Ronald Gainer who was appointed as Bishop of Harrisburg, PA in 2014.

Bishop John was born April 15, 1966 in Amherst, OH. He attended grade school at St. Anthony of Padua Parish, staffed by the Conventual Franciscans, and Lorain Catholic High School. After a year of community college, Bishop John joined the formation program for the Conventual Franciscan Province of Our Lady of Consolation at St. Bonaventure Friary in St. Louis, MO. During the time of his candidacy he began studies in philosophy and history at St. Louis University and completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in each in 1990, after an interruption for his novitiate. He subsequently earned a Masters in Divinity and a Licentiate in Church History from the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley, CA.

Bishop John made his solemn vows on August 1, 1992, and was ordained to the priesthood on September 16, 1995.

Bishop John served in Texas as a pastor, Moderator of the Curia, and eventually as Chancellor for the Diocese of El Paso. In 2010, he was elected Vicar Provincial of the Province of Our Lady of Consolation and became Pastor and Rector of the Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation in Carey, OH.

On March 12, 2015, Pope Francis named him the third Bishop of Lexington.

Ken Yasinski

Ken Yasinski

Ken Yasinski is on a mission to help Catholics realize their full potential in life, to be a saint. With 18 years of full-time experience, he is an internationally known professional speaker. In addition, he is an author, song-writer, recorded and produced 6 worship CDs, 2 Catholic video courses, but his favourite title is husband and daddy.

Ken grew up in St. Walburg, Saskatchewan then moved to Saskatoon to attend the University of Saskatchewan. In 1999, after his convocation, he was hired by 6 different Catholic Churches to start and run a Deanery youth program. Young people were having conversions to the faith and the word began to spread. By 2002 he was getting calls to speak about every second weekend, which was the beginnings of Face to Face Ministries.

From 2002 until 2014 Ken was the executive director of Face to Face ministries, as it became a multi-faceted Catholic evangelization ministry, serving 1000s of people through retreats, parish missions, conferences, school ministry, and overseas missions.

In 2014, Ken stepped away from Face to Face Ministries to form Catholic Speaker Productions. Much of his ministry time is spent speaking internationally leading a unique type of parish mission that involves a clear and simple proclamation of the gospel and equipping leaders of the parish to follow up with participants through a 6 session video program.

Ken lives in Saskatoon, Canada with his wife Janelle and their 4 young children. He loves hiking, biking, fishing, quad-ding and venti 8 pump white chocolate mochas from Starbucks.

OUR VISION: Holiness through Virtue

OUR MISSION: To promote and support virtue-building programs that serve Catholic men’s call to live in the fullness of grace, guided by the Holy Spirit, through the leadership of our Bishop.

Under the patronage of St. Joseph, we seek to support, strengthen and embolden the spiritual growth of Catholic men through prayer, formation, fellowship, and evangelization. Through programs and events, we seek to help men grow in holiness and to live their faith in their marriages, families, workplaces, communities, and parishes. We seek to work with existing ministries and organizations in the diocese to combine efforts and resources so as to better serve Catholic men. We aspire to hold regular fellowship and formation events, develop a men’s retreat league, a formation-coaching series aimed at business executives, and an annual men’s conference in the diocese.
